Léger avec des arômes de sirop, sucre brun mais pas trop intense. Se prend sans glace. Belle longueur en bouche et se termine avec un petit goût d'y revenir...

It smells like Cherry and Oak, but you get too much alcohol smell too.
The taste is OK and kind of smooth.
But and the end you have the harsh alcohol note again.

I have bought it from a shop and there it is nearly €50, that's way too expensive. Have tasted rums at half cost and they were much more better.

Anyway I hope it will taste better another time. If so, I'll update my rating.

Update: have tried it again: not that bad as the first time, but still only sherry and wood. That's too less for this price.

I början kunde jag känna lite minimal bismak av socker, men efter ha provat flera gånger är detta den idag bästa rom jag druckit. Den har otrolig smak som är bred, ganska söt med mycket vanilj och kola. Luktar mycket bra men inte jätte mycket. Vinner i längden. Köp flera om du är i Dominikanska.

A perfect choice for every situation. The ladies will love it too. The alcohol level is just 38%, but that is actually a plus here. Harmonic, strong taste, good smell and beautiful color. The only reason it did not get a 10 that it is a bit too sweet.

Picked this up in Dominique Republic two years ago and it instantly became my favorite. I have not yet found any rum to come close to it but now that I discovered Rum Rating I have since made a list of rums I want to acquire. The search is on.

Nice dark brown amber in color. Strong alcoholic sugary aroma with hints of oak.
Molasses coats the palate with woodsy notes of banana. Oak is very present. Syrupy. Definitely coats the tongue. Hints of maple. Nice. May be too sweet for some. Slight spice on the front of the tongue.
Highly recommended.

Brugals usual style is dry and sweet rum . This is something slightly different and when I say slightly its on the finish that misses the usual pal and tobacco dry notes

I probably didn't drink enough of this to give it a proper review. I was at a cigar bar in Punta Cana when a stranger who splurged on a bottle poured me a drink. It was some of the best tasting rum I've ever had. I've tried 100 different rums in my day but the Legend is now the unicorn that I cannot get stateside.

I was quite curious to taste this rum so well rated. Although I recognize it is a good rum it is way too sweet for my taste.
