Barbados | Aged | 43% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Produced in Barbados by master distiller Richard Seale, the rums in Doorly XO have been aged a minimum of 6 years before finishing in Olorosco sherry casks. The second maturation in sherry casks is rare and gives Doorly XO its unique flavour.

Jedná se o sladší světlý rum z Barbadosu, chuť obsahuje prvky trpického ovoce.
I was excited to give this reputable brand a try. I’m a bit choked that there is no age statement or even an age range, as my idea of this distillery was one of transparency. There’s absolutely no information on the bottle which is a shame.
Color is light amber and it smells of orange peels and raisins. It’s not as smooth as I would’ve guessed for 43% and the flavour isn’t terribly complex. Pretty strong oak flavour and good clean rum taste. There is no foreign taste, the kind you get with some not-so-good brands.
Overall, it's a solid clean rum though I wouldn't seek it out as anything more than that.
I bought this because it claimed to have Oloroso Sherry influence, but if it has any at all its very light. Overall not a bad rum for $20, its priced fairly, but its not as interesting a flavor profile as the Doorly's 12yr. To me this has a similar taste to R.L.Seales 10yr, in that there's less wood influence than the 12yr, but the Seales has more complexity, this is a fairly simple tasting rum, but not bad at all.
BTW, my bottle doesn't look like the one in the image, and its 40% ABV, not 43%. It has a lot more text regarding the Oloroso Sherry Casks which isn't present in the image for this thread. The only common thing is the XO designation, and the blue parrot on the label, so I'm not sure if we're all reviewing the same rum.
In my opinion, Doorly's XO is among the best values for the right amount of money. No artificial things were added, just Barbadian love.
My whole review: https://rumme.cz/doorlys-xo-recenze-kvalitni-rum/
Not the best sipper. Makes very good rum and cokes. One that my wife (who "hates" rum) liked mixed.
Not an outstanding rum but for the price it is a nice one to have in your cabinet.
A Doorly is never disappointing it seems.
For the money its a good Barbados rum. Not going to wow you compared to some of the others that cost twice as much, but great in cocktails.
If this isn't the best most readily available rum for under $25, then it has to be top 5. Smooth mouth with medium throat burn followed by an increasing finish. Ripe sweet cherry and cinnamon flavors. A bit sweet and not as smooth as "top" rums, but a great value at this price point.
It has that distinctive light and fruity Bajan nose. .
"It’s nicely balanced and subtle on the nose. The rum is initially quite sweet with notes of toffee, banana, a little orange and citrusy lemon/lime. The finish is long and quite spicy with a hint of oak."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Its barbados rum, that's mean no sugar or chemical flavors. Just a little dry, all sweetness from spanish oloroso sherry cask. Very good for such price.
