Very light aroma of chocolate and fruits. The taste is the same. Dry rum. It warms. Harsh in the throat. This is not my taste.

If you want to stay away from sugar and other additives and just enjoy some naturally made rum without breaking your bank - look no further.
Foursquare is one of the best rum distilleries for the spanish style. Since this is becoming more and more known, prices are going up. But this is still great value.

I bought this as a throw in with a big order since the price was really low (about 25 EUR) and was really surprised with overal quality of the rum. It's not overly complex but a good aged rum at a very fair price. Recommended!

This is my first quality Barbados rum and I can see why it's so well reviewed. Very smooth with a finish that can't help but make me smile. Definitely recommend.

Maybe sweetened, could be coloured as well. Not sure about it. (I once thought it was sweetened and coloured, not sure anymore. Could be natural).
On the nose, lots of sweetness, a hint of funk, brandy-like notes, spices (nutmeg).
In the mouth, it is even sweeter than anticipated. The best feature, to me, is the hint of smoke that it has. Then there is a bit of funk, which is also great. The rest is a bit bland; spices, more sweetness, possibly some dried fruit aroma. A hint of chocolate, which I find perfumy and artificial; but not as overdone as in some other rums. I find those note tolerable, but not good. Some wood, but not a lot. Finish is relatively short and quite neutral, reminding me, again, of brandy.
Also slightly harsh in an alcoholic way, which the rest of the aroma does not really justify.

Solid, not overly complex. Nothing really wrong with it, but also far from great. I also do assume that this rum has been worked on a lot, has undergone more treatment than I would like. I could be wrong, but much in this rum seems artificial/chemical to me.

I do enjoy much cheaper rums, like Pusser's Navy (Blue) or Myers's Dark, much better.

My rating may seem harsh, but I find it too expensive for what it is - I paid about 30 Euros. If you can get it for 20 $, value for money is much better. If one like this style, brandy is probably the better and cheaper option.

UPDATE: I do now understand better what the Sherry casks do for this rum. While I am still not convinced, I like it a bit better now.

Bottle is quite generic. Color light mahogany. Nose gets very faint notes of oak and maybe some nuts. On palate it totally different story: lots of oaks, leather, hazelnut, vanilla and dried fruits. Taste that lingers long time with ever changing notes. Alcohol taste is distinct and cosy.

on the nose i can say is Bajan rum, because of characteristic fruitiness, but if i compare with the 12 and 14 it s not at their level, even in the mouth it s good yes but it not gives flavors like older brothers (in the mouth tropical fruits some oak, dry, sherry finish ruined it, a little bit less Bajan character for this rum) and by the way i spent just 2 euros less than for the 12, conclusion for that money, talking about Bajan rum, i ll better buy a Mount Gay XO (15 euro cheaper in my nation) or just add 2 euros and buy Doorlys'12 that is a lot better, i see very different prices (a lot cheaper and this is for all Bajan rum) in reviews from USA based people, so of course at 20 dollars i ll buy 12 bottles yes, but 53 euros for that is really too much !

I rate it lower than expected just because the finish is to strong for me, to dry but! I have to admit the way its composed is amazing, very danse for such age. Amazing smell, worth to buy even to open it and smell it. :)
