Doorly's 5-Year

Bought this after trying at the distillery. Smooth finish but not the best for sipping, although the value for money is excellent. Perfect rum for corn and oil mix.

After first smell this Rum lets you to expect more. Unfortunately the taste is closer to flavoured vodka than rum. Drinkable with coke.

In aroma: candied fruit, woody, weak, a little fresh and mysterious. Burns the palate and the throat, sweetness, sharply in the throat, the tongue grows numb, woody, bitter, burning sensation definitely.Taste is severe.
In the aftertaste is a cream-brule, something confectionery, alcohol burns, the head is calm, but it's hot.

Dry, wth just a little sweet vanilla, oak, and enough of an alcohol afterburn to keep it from being great. But for $12 you get a very decent Seale rum, and that's better than anything else in this range.

Than a rum this age has any right to be.

Nothing special. Good with ice and a mixer. The aftertaste is good.

Нос: мокрый древесный уголь, сырое дерево, жжёная карамель, лёгкая бурбонность, бражность.
Вкус: не спиртовый, но сильная горечь перебивает все другие вкусы, горечь похожа на можжевеловую как у джина.
Финиш: короткий, остается только привкус спирта и ментоловая свежесть.

This is good, but i would probably use it for cocktails to spice them up, rather than use it for sipping

bought this for mixing, i knew it s not a neat sipper (but not so bad even neat) it really does his job in a daiquiry, and with coke is perfect !

I like Foursquare rum and tried some before, but this one don`t need your attention. I thought it will be like Doorly XO but without sherry finish. No, nothing similar only sharp alcohol and short aftertaste. Don`t waste you money take XO.
