Brugal Añejo rum

Brugal Añejo

Dominican Republic | Gold | 40% ABV

Brugal Anejo rum is a blend of rums aged 3 to 5 years in used American white Oak barrels that previously held whiskey and bourbon.

The rum is produced in the Dominican Republic by Brugal & Co., a company that was founded in the late 1800s by the Spaniard Andrés Brugal Montaner. Today, the Brugal rum company remains largely in the control of Montaner's direct descendants.

This is an expensive rum and the taste confirms it. Really its an ok rum, better than the other cheap rums. My dad bought a 1L bottle so we wont waste it. I think it make a pretty good Mai Tai or Rum Punch.

Descent mixer, not enough character to stand alone but definitely a great addition to any cocktail.

When there is a cocktail recipe that calls for Gold rum, i always use Brugal Anejo.
It places between the other cocktail gold rums and the reserves like Brugal XV, Havana 7, Bacardi 8.
Also in a bar/pub, using Brugal for mixology usually means attention on the bottle choice.
Better spirit makes a better cocktail.
