Brugal XV

Enjoyed a glass of this on my balcony, on a holliday in punta cana. To me this is where the Brugal lineup starts to pick up the pace a little bit. It has a light scent of caramel and vanilla. The rum is medium bodied and the palette offers notes of vanilla and sweet molasse with a light burn in the end. It's a doable sipper and a good mixer, but for the same money you can get the el dorado 12 which is in a different league.

This was my go to at the resort. Smooth and sweet.

Nice taste and smell. I tested it in Dominican Republic, bought it in Higuey city in Sirena shop, to make evening drinks with fruits.

nu aveam asteptari de la acest rom, dar am fost placut surprins. alcoolul este prezent dar este placut , un rom care nu pare sa aiba zahar adaugat, foarte aromat si condimentat:
cacao , vanilie, zahar ars, piper, scortisoara ..

I had no expectations from this rum, but I was pleasantly surprised. alcohol is present but it is pleasant, a rum that does not seem to have added sugar, very aromatic and spicy:
cocoa, vanilla, burnt sugar, pepper, cinnamon...

it burns in stages on the tongue slowly decreasing in intensity, and the finish is long and leaves a tobacco sensation

Mostly just honey. A little floral perfume. Some cloying maltiness in the finish.

The core rum probably isn't that great, but the sherry finish adds a twist that this scotch fan can appreciate. Punches above its weight, especially in the Brugal family.

Zapach: Mleczny, waniliowy, kokos, cukierek krówka. Całość jest przyjemna, niezbyt intensywna oraz delikatna.

Smak: Delikatna słodycz - cukierek krówka, budyń waniliowy, tropikalne owoce, wyczuwalny wpływ beczek.

Smak tak jak i zapach - delikatny, nieskompilowane oraz przyjemny - bez nuty alkoholu.

Rum jest wysoce pijalny, nie przesłodzony - polecam choć cena w polsce jest delikatnie przegięta. Idealny jako premium mikser do koktajli oraz drinków. Legenda krążyła że jest to połączenie rumów 10cio oraz 5cio letnich - jednak traktowałbym to z przymrużeniem oka.

This is still one of my top rums, so smooth and great flavour. It's a shame that it's really hard to get hold of currently

...the taste is too mild and not memorable, better as a mixer...
The smell is very alcoholic
