Tried few of Santiagos, nothing special. Is drinkable in cocktails, neat-some taste but afterwards clean moonshine. So probably user - specific. Not for me

Rhum facile d’approche avec un taux de sucre assez élevé. Sur le caramel et boisé. Beau produit pour le prix

You definitely notice a lot of wood and abscense of additives; that's why I think it's a straight honest rum. It ain't the best but it's not cheating.

Decent rum for a good price. Taste itself isn't sophisticated but there is not much alcohol aftertaste which makes it feel more expensive than it actually is.

I found this in my local supermarket and it was just a wee bit more than Mountgay Eclipse.

Smooth. That's the over riding impression from this 40% ABV rum. I drink rum 99% straight up (the other 1% is Dark N Stormy) and this is perfectly easy to drink. While not the best rum, when factoring in price, it really is good VFM. It lacks a little bit of length and depth, which a bit more oak might sort out.

But really, for the price, you're not going to lose out on this one.

However, it is a wee bit too sweet. If they dialled that down a bit, I can't help think that it would be for the better. Doing that though, might take away from the smoothness, so it's a balancing act, one which doesn't quite hit my tastes. Given that, maybe it would be a good mixer.

Légèrement sucré et délicat en bouche, rhum très dorée

Weird. Just had a sample of Angostura 1787 and this has the same floral sweetness about it that I've only ever come across before in Havana Club Especial. I bought it as an alternative to HC7 but it lacks the wood and tobacco that balances out the floral thing in that. As such, this is much more one dimensional and pretty much like the aforementioned HC Especial but much more expensive.
Hey, it's drinkable, which I wouldn't say about the Angostura, but it's not that great either.
