Appleton Estate Rare Casks 12-Year

This is one that for me isn't as good as the unaged reserve exclusiva ..the flavours are there and deep in depth but for once prefer the cheaper option .

I lived. On a diet of this while in Jamaica so I have become quite fond of it, hence the score improvement

This is the rum equivalent of a good bourbon. It's good on the tongue and a good finish with some nice oak along the way. At a little over 40 USD, this is a great rum that can be used in special cocktails or just in a rocks glass. Worth every penny.

Never been a fan of Appleton but this rum serves as its mid-range offering. It is pretty smooth and is distinct in that its oak flavour is more pronounced. Worth a try but I wouldn't go too far out of your way to make it happen.

Lovely nose and flavour not quite as bold as the rare blend previous model which I would prefer.

Quality rum, with some well balanced "hogo" flavours associated with some jamaican rums, and some orange peels and tobacco leafs notes. I personnally prefer the 12 years El Dorado but still good !

A truly wholesome rum experience. This is the quintessential flavour of rum and a good measuring post for anything else that professes to be rum greatness as what ever multiple of this very affordable bottle.

This one is quite a bit sweeter then the 21 year old Nassau casks. Moderate burn. Drinks very easy... too easy :). Quite a nice rum especially for the price!

I cracked the bottle and had a nip straight away and was disappointed but after letting it breathe for 20 minutes was much better. Nose of slight banana. On the taste side caramel apples banana and slight apricot not bad at all
