Plantation 2006 Peru 13-Year

Lots of woody and earthy spices round up the typical caramel, vanilla, and burnt sugar flavors. Cherry syrup is also present. A bit unbalanced but can hold its own as a sipping rum.

Molasses predominates on the nose along with sweet oak and something faintly floral. The palate is smooth, slightly sweet and lightly syrupy, with molasses predominating again, before the finish offers just a bit of spicy, peppered heat on the exit. I don’t detect a lot of complexity here but that doesn’t mean I’m disappointed, either. It’s very enjoyable as a sipper. Quite nice.

This rum is very smooth and tasty, i also tasted the 2004 next to the 2006 and i have to say its very good.

Dejlig periode rom, noter af citrus, røg og bourbon.

Good, balanced, feels the barrel of ex bourbon and cognac, smooth and silky, but to my taste Fiji 2009 is better

Plantation ya sacó 4 rones peruanos al mercado. Este es sin dudas es mejor de todos. Complejo desde es vaso hasta el último trago. Simplemente delicioso y bastante complejo para un ron rebajado.
Hermoso color dorado claro. En nariz es muy complejo, pero la vainilla, chocolate, canela y fruta madura, nada alcohólico.
En boca es muy pero muy sabroso y nadie pensaría que tiene 43 grados. Muy suave en boca pero potente en sabor, toffee, manjar blanco, cacao, fruta, cuero y mucha fruta. Delicioso. En garganta y pecho básicamente no quema. Uno de los mejores rones que he probado sin discusión.

Strong flavourism and does pack a good punch. Sipping or mixing this drop is above board. You will love the strength and smell of this drink

Smooth complex sugar character like Barcelo. Fairly standard in that regard, great for sipping.
