El Dorado Special Reserve Portuguese Red Wine Cask 12-Year

You get everything expected on both the nose and the palate. Really good balanced rum.

I dont drink wine but when I do I drink rum aged in wine casks. The nose on this is overpowering and very alcohol forward taste is slightly sweet with cabernet-like tones and smooth finish that only has a tiny bit of burn. A must for el dorado fans (note Ive tasted a lot of el dorado expressions and most non-mainstream ones like the 15, 21, etc are not that great but this one is top-notch)
