Nose: aromas of the earth and spices of great intensity,
Taste: In the mouth tasty and dry and warm , with the vibrating notes of wood and sweet spices

A blend of PM + Diamond. The Diamond is a 2001, which could indicate a Skeldon. Let's see.

Nose: Oh yes, there are the grapes, some molasses, nice barrel aromas of wood. Dried fruits such as cranberries and plums, with slightly ripe or earthy aromas, and some tobacco is included. This also shows the beautiful age of this rum. It appears ripe, dark and flowery aromatic (some orange zest can be perceived). I would say the Skeldon clearly dominates and gives the PM a little bit of space, which I think is very good.
In the background you can guess some honey and the wood chips of the PM.
A very good smell that makes me very excited.

Taste: Starts a little sweet with dried fruits like plums and the cranberries. Molasses with dark barrel aromas is of course also included, some tannins are noticeable. The spiciness is limited, the rum becomes more woody towards the middle.
From the middle the PM develops and releases the oak. The spiciness now increases and wood chips with honey and slightly grassy aromas are now present. The finish is a bit spicy at first like a PM, then with influences of dried fruit and molasses.

The longer the rum stands, the more the PM pushes itself forward into the initial taste. I wouldn't advise giving it a lot of time. The sooner I drink it, the better I like it. I like Skeldon more than PM, that's the simple reason.

Aftertaste: At first some PM aromas like light wood, grassy aromas. Then the Skeldon comes through with dried fruits and molasses. After a few minutes, the PM takes over again and still seems very flowery.

Conclusion: a great blend. Rarely so balanced since a PM was blended. Very complex, changes quite quickly and tastes different depending on the time. Here 92 points seem appropriate to me, as the rum offers a nice experience and both the Skeldon and the PM are presented very well.
