I finally found this after hunting for a while. Not disappointed!
On the nose, it has a floral scent, with a subtle note of the port. After sitting for a bit, the nose can best be described as crisp with a slight alcohol scent. It smelled like a summery drink.
My initial flavors were crisp grapes with a slight tingle on the tip of the tongue. That was followed by a slightly sweet port note. Very nice.
The finish was tobacco and oak, dry, with a slight burn. The flavors kept going for a bit, coating the mouth. After the empty glass sat for a bit, the remaining aroma was just lovely rum.
I’ll definitely be buying another if I can find it. Not sure if the 15 year, which seems to be more available, will be much different.
Edited to add a better photo of the bottle to be used for the rum entry.
